I went in to have my naturally black hair bleached, and the results exceeded my expectations. The stylist took the time to explain the process clearly, made sure my hair stayed healthy throughout, and nailed the colour perfectly. As a man, it can sometimes be hard to find a salon that really understands what you’re after, but I felt completely comfortable and well looked after from start to finish. Clean salon, friendly atmosphere, and true professionals at work. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place.

The best haircut I’ve ever had in London - better than designer salons! Ask for Gary, he’s an exceptionally talented hairdresser! My hair is the silkiest, slinkiest and shiniest it’s ever felt! I’m so incredibly ecstatic and happy with my haircut by Gary and I am excited to say it’s easily the best haircut I have ever had! Gary listened very carefully to what I wanted and looked at the inspiration photos I showed him for my desired haircut. Gary understood instantly what I wanted. Looking back now and seeing just how good my hair looked in comparison to the photos, I can say it really shows how talented, skilled and experienced Gary is because he studied the photos quickly and just knew instantly! Gary was frank and honest that he would do my hair better and slightly different than the photos to better suit my face shape. I really respect that Gary said this as I think it is important for hairdressers to use their knowledge and skills to tailor haircuts (not just copy photos if they know it won’t suit you or make you look good!) I always like to trust hairdressers to do what they know best (after all they are the hair experts) and to give them creative expression while also giving you the haircut and effect you desire tailored to you. I’m super happy to say that Gary truly delivered and my haircut really IS better than the photos I showed. My hair is the silkiest, slinkiest and shiniest it’s ever looked and felt! I am so happy to have found a new hairdresser now! Gary was so kind to send me a photo of the back of my haircut which I’m in love with. Gary had the best balance of having friendly conversation, explaining what he was doing as he cut my hair and also letting me relax. Gary also advised me on how to style my hair with curling tongs and what product he used which shows wonderful service and care beyond the appointment! As for the overall experience of going to Galaxy. I went for the first time ever yesterday and I’m now switching to them as my new go-to hairdresser. After years of loyalty to my previous hairdresser in Soho, they were fully booked yesterday and I prefer flexible walk-in appointments. I was happy to find Galaxy online as they do walk-in appointments. I was impressed by its Google reviews and late closing time. I simply walked in and a hairdresser let me and my partner sit. I only waited a couple of minutes during a busy time.They quoted £55 for a wash, haircut and blow dry which is very reasonable for London, especially for Asian hairdressers who really take a lot more time and care. I usually am nervous with prices as some hairdressers add extra charges at the end, however I am extremely happy to say I was charged exactly as quoted. I would have paid extra in tips looking back! The hairdresser that greeted me was friendly and professional and I was seen within minutes by Ana who is a vivacious, energetic and friendly Colombian woman who washed my hair incredibly well and helped get my hair in such silky condition! What also drew me in was seeing the Google photos of the interior that looked so cosy and warm (not sterile and cold with bright white everything, like many hairdressers. Nothing wrong with this, but for me personally that feels like waiting for surgery at a hospital rather than having a pampering haircut 😂). Galaxy looks so creative, warm, and inviting - the pastel green walls, lighting, decorations, fun cloaks and quality products on shelves with uber cool looking hairdressers make the place look and feel like a real artist studio! The only thing I would say is having hair done is a pampering experience, so it would be nice to be offered a warm drink and maybe a quick head and shoulder massage after the hair wash. BUT from what I experienced, these hairdressers are extremely talented professionals devoted to the art of cutting hair and that is their main priority, so not having extras is comforting in some ways as this is how they can keep their prices low! I think they can consider getting a tips box or tips option on their card reader as I would very happily pay into that!

Got my haircut at Galaxy Hair Salon, and it was awesome! The stylist really listened to what I wanted and gave me a great look that suits me perfectly. Super friendly, quick, and no fuss. Plus, the price was super fair for the quality. Definitely my go-to spot in Chinatown! ✂️👍

I visited Gary today at Galaxy Hair Salon, and I cannot recommend him enough. He gave me a lovely haircut with expertly layered styling, the layers show beautifully whether my hair is down, half-up, or in a high ponytail. The precision and graduation are fantastic. Gary is not only incredibly skilled but also wonderfully friendly. I asked about lunch recommendations and he helped me find a great option on Google. Such a thoughtful, personable and lovely guy. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Gary!
